Translate a module

A language cut is a new render of your module in another language, made from the same storyboard. It is not a dub laid over the old video. Because the presenter is rendered against the new audio, their mouth matches the words.

Add a language

1. Open the module in one of these ways:

   • In My Training, select Language on a rendered module.
   • On the canvas, open More ways to run and select Add a language.

   The Language cuts page opens with your module selected.

2. Tick the languages you want. Languages the module already has are greyed out.

   Only languages Reignitor can narrate are listed.

3. Read the summary under the languages. It tells you how many cuts you picked and that each one re-renders every scene. The cost is shown before anything starts.

4. Select Render cuts. The button shows how many cuts you picked, for example Render 2 cuts.

   The cuts join the render queue.

Tip

Motion-graphics scenes cost less to translate than presenter scenes. A module that is mostly graphics is cheaper to put into many languages.

What learners see

When every scene has a cut in a language, the share player offers a language picker. Learners can switch language at any point. The video carries on from the same moment, with no reload and no separate link.

A language appears in the picker only when every scene has it. This stops a learner switching and then reaching a scene with no cut in their language.
