Glossary

  • API key: A secret that lets your code or an automation act as your account. Created under Connectors > API Keys and shown only once. See API authentication.
  • Automation: A flow that runs on its own: a trigger, then steps. See Build an automation.
  • Brand Flow: Reignitor’s main workspace for planning and rendering adverts on your brand.
  • Brand kit: Your logo, colours and fonts, saved once and applied to everything you make.
  • Canvas: The board where you plan a video scene by scene, draw frames and render.
  • Checkpoint: A scene in a training module that asks the learner a question and shows answer buttons. See Add checkpoints and branching.
  • Connector: A link between Reignitor and another service you use. See Connectors.
  • Credits: What you spend to generate things. The cost is shown before you spend. See How credits work.
  • Language cut: A new render of a finished video in another language, made from the same storyboard. See Translate a module.
  • LMS (learning management system): The system your organisation uses to assign training and track who completed it.
  • LRS (learning record store): A system that stores xAPI statements about what learners did. Reignitor does not host one.
  • Motion Editor: Reignitor’s editor for motion-graphics adverts.
  • Pass mark: The score a learner needs, from 1 to 100, to pass a module in your LMS.
  • Recipe: A ready-made automation you can start from and edit.
  • Render: Turning your plan into a finished video.
  • Scene: One part of a video. In a training module, one scene is usually one step.
  • SCORM 1.2: The package format most LMSs accept. Reignitor exports modules as SCORM 1.2 zips. See Export to your LMS.
  • Share link: A web address that plays a module in the interactive player. Anyone with the link can play it.
  • Signing secret: The secret that proves a webhook message came from Reignitor. Shown once, when you add the webhook.
  • Storyboard: The frames for each scene, drawn before the full render so you can check them.
  • Webhook: A message Reignitor sends to a web address when something happens, such as a video finishing. See Webhooks.
  • xAPI: A standard for sending learning records to an LRS.
