The Brand Flow canvas
The Brand Flow canvas is where adverts are made. It lays your advert out as nodes, lets you change every scene before you pay for video, and renders the finished film with your brand applied.
Use it for every video advert format: product ads, UGC, testimonials, unboxings, short-form vertical, commercials, stylized worlds, presenter explainers, walk-and-talks and more.
Ways onto the canvas
Section titled “Ways onto the canvas”- From Discover: choose Let’s begin and Generate storyboard, or Use template. See Discover flows and templates.
- From Projects: open any canvas you have made before.
- From a campaign stage: select Open in Studio or Open canvas.
- From the Avatar Library: select Use this avatar on a presenter.
Some of these open a short start screen first. It asks How do you want to start? with four choices: Prompt (describe the advert), Script (paste a finished script, kept word for word), URL (turn a website or video into an advert) and Blueprint (borrow the structure of an advert you admire and make it yours). You can pick a brand and add a product there, then send the brief.
A tour of the canvas
Section titled “A tour of the canvas”Top bar. The flow name (select it to rename), Generations, Edit video, the renders menu, Versions, and a switch between a dark and a white canvas.
The graph. Your advert as nodes:
- Scene nodes, one per shot, each showing its frame or clip.
- Brand guidelines: your logo and colours. Set where the mark sits (for example top left or bottom right) and how large it is (small, medium or large).
- Product: the product photo that scenes are built from.
- Presenter: the face for talking scenes.
- Narrator voice and Background music.
- Final Video: the finished film, with play, download and share.
Scenes list. Open it from the left edge of the canvas. Drag scenes to reorder them, add an empty scene, or upload your own clip.
Copilot. The panel on the right. Type a change in plain words and send it to revise the plan. It also shows the plan, the storyboard score, the cost and the main action button.
Add a node. At the bottom left. Add a Video Gen shot, an Image still, a Presenter shot, or a Motion graphics shot (animated type and interface, with no AI video).
Make an advert
Section titled “Make an advert”-
Check the plan
The copilot shows the plan as a list of scenes under PLAN READY — EDIT THEN BUILD. Select a scene to rewrite its visual or its script. Drag to reorder. Remove what you do not want, or select + Add a scene. Editing the plan is free.
-
Raise the storyboard score
The Storyboard score rates how ready the plan is, out of 100. Below it is a list of what would raise it, such as adding your brand or your product. Select an item to fix it. You need a high enough score to build, and the panel tells you when you are short.
-
Add what the format needs
Some formats need your product on camera, a logo or a presenter. The main button then names what is missing, and selecting it opens the picker that fixes it. If a scene needs its own image, a Needs assets note lists which scene needs what.
-
Shoot the storyboard
Select Run storyboard. Each scene gets one still frame, so you can judge the advert before any video is made. The app says how many frames it will shoot and what they cost before you start.
-
Fix any frame
Select a scene to open the scene inspector. There you can change the scene type, its story role, duration, camera move, model and voiceover. On a frame you can also type one change, for example “make the background darker”, and keep the rest of the frame as it is. When the plan changes, the top bar offers Re-run storyboard.
-
Build the advert
Select Build advert. The Generate Video window opens. Choose:
- Video type: Advert, UGC, Talking head, Product, Cinematic or Social short.
- Render quality: Standard for everyday work, or Premium for your best product and brand fidelity on hero adverts.
- Aspect ratio, visual style, language, presenter face and narrator voice.
- Background music, on or off, and its volume.
The window shows This render will cost and your balance before and after. Select Generate to start.
-
Watch it render
The top bar shows how many scenes are done, running and queued. You can select Cancel while work is still in flight.
-
Play, download and share
When the top bar shows Rendered, select Play or Download. On the Final Video node you can also copy a link anyone can watch, with no login needed.
More ways to run
Section titled “More ways to run”The arrow next to Build advert opens more options:
- Batch — many variants… renders the advert across several presenter and hook combinations. It shows its price before it runs.
- Share interactive link copies a public link to the player.
- Edit this video opens the finished film to trim and re-cut.
- Add a language opens Language Cuts for this film.
- Run From Here and Run Till Here render only part of the advert, from or up to the scene you have selected.
Versions, renders and generations
Section titled “Versions, renders and generations”- Versions saves snapshots of the canvas. One is taken before every build. Select Restore to go back to an earlier edit, or Name this version to save one now.
- The renders menu lists every video you have paid for. Opening or downloading one again is free.
- Generations shows every frame, clip and render the canvas has produced.
- Always add your logo, or pick a brand, before you build. Without it the advert has no brand to use.
- For formats that show the product, add the real product photo. Without it each scene has to guess the packaging.
- Change the plan in words before you shoot frames, and change frames before you build. Each step costs more than the one before it.
- Use Motion graphics scenes for titles, prices and interface shots. The text is set in type, so it is always spelt right.
- If a scene fails to render, its share of the cost is refunded automatically.
